Talkin’ Fight has a weekly show called Ring Talk, featuring boxing historian and author Lou Eisen, who recently has invited a lot of respected writers guests to join him, including author and sociologist Arne K. Lang yesterday. Arne’s seminal book, “The Nelson-Wolgast Fight and the San Francisco Boxing Scene, 1900–1914,” is a masterful exploration of this fascinating period in boxing history. Lang’s extensive career includes teaching at prestigious institutions such as the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, the University of Nebraska, and Tuskegee University.
